The brutal killing of Shraddha Walker shook up the entire nation. While social media was flooded with reactions and opinions, celebrities who had inter-religious marriages after the incident were attacked with nasty comments and continuous hate mongering. While netizens have ceased to target television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee and her husband Shahnawaz Shaikh, Bollywood diva Swara Bhasker and political leader Fahad Ahmad are currently on the receiving end of hateful memes and unpleasant opinions.

Hours after VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi compared her marriage to the infamous Aftab Poonawala’s case, Swara has now reacted to a post that called out ‘blatant islamophobic comments’. A Twitter user took to the micro-blogging site, and wrote, “The moron sanghis once again started a communal campaign around Swara Bhasker's marriage. Blatant islamophobic comments are flooding social media. But those deadheads do not know, love remains victorious, no matter how much hate tries. Sending love and courage to you two. (sic)” Reacting to the same, Swara re-tweeted the post with three purple hearts. For the unversed, during a recent interaction, commenting on Swara and Fahad’s marriage, Sadhvi had expressed that the actress should have seen the fridge once before deciding to marry. Quoted by the Hindustan Times, she said, “Probably, Swara Bhasker didn’t pay attention to the news of how Shraddha’s body was chopped into 35 pieces. She should have seen the fridge once before taking such a big decision. It is her personal choice. I have nothing much to say. Ayodhya Mahant Raju Das too had taken a nasty dig at the newly married couple. He had said, “Congratulations to her if she wants to spend nights with 1,000 men. Because she got married to a community where brothers and sisters get married and then do talaq, talaq, talaq. Swara Bhasker has openly chanted Insha Allah and Bharat tere tukde honge. She got married to a person whom she addressed as 'bhai' 10 days ago and asked him to get married soon.”

Talking about the nuptials, the couple had a court marriage. Pictures and videos from their engagement ceremony are currently going viral on social media, where the happy couple can be seen dressed in red and white. Swara’s friends including Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta and designer Sandeep Khosla attended the ceremony, alongside their family. It is being said that the actress and politician will be tying the knot in Delhi, next month in March.
